LGT Capital Partner’s roundtable lunch – The expanding role of secondaries across private markets – Tuesday, 16 June 2026

Secondaries are playing an increasingly prominent role across all facets of private markets. We invite you to join us for a roundtable discussion on investment opportunities, market challenges and the role of secondaries in institutional portfolios looking ahead.

Over lunch, we will share practical insights into the expanding secondaries opportunity set across private equity, private credit and infrastructure. These perspectives will draw on LGT Capital Partners’ 25+ years of experience in navigating secondary transactions.

The secondary market has evolved into an essential pillar of the private markets ecosystem, having expanded tenfold over the past twelve years to reach USD 240 billion in transaction volume in 2025. Generating liquidity has become a critical priority for both LPs and GPs. GPs are increasingly proficient at deploying secondary solutions, while LPs are making more deliberate use of secondaries as a strategic portfolio management tool.

For investors, secondaries are taking on an increasingly strategic role within private market portfolios. They can provide investors with access to high-quality assets, attractive risk-adjusted returns, faster capital deployment, targeted exposures and enhanced diversification. At the same time, the rapid expansion of the market has introduced greater complexity and as the ecosystem continues to scale outcomes are likely to diverge, particularly for less experienced participants.

We hope you can join us for an interactive discussion.
